Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our Website and services. By accessing, browsing, or placing an order on this Website, you agree to be bound by these terms, which are in accordance with relevant Egyptian laws, including but not limited to, the Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and the Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.

 

1.    General Provisions

In these Terms, "you," "User" refers to the end-user accessing the Website, its content, and using the services offered, and "we," "us," and "our" refer to ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC S.A.E., its affiliates, and ELSEWEDY INDUSTRIES S.A.E and its affiliates. By using our Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to the Terms, you may not access the Website or use any services. We reserve the right to update or change any part of these Terms by posting updates to our Website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes.

2.    User Accounts & Responsibilities

To place an order, you may be required to create a user account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information, including your full legal name, a valid email address, and a contact number. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and are legally capable of entering into binding contracts under Egyptian law.

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the services or products sold on this Website, without express written permission by us.

3.    Products & Descriptions

We strive to ensure that all product descriptions, specifications, and images are as accurate as possible for the product categories offered. However, this information is for general guidance and may be subject to minor variations. Most of our products sold on our Website are covered by a warranty. The warranty period and terms are specified on the product page or included with the product packaging. We guarantee that all products conform to relevant Egyptian and international quality standards and certifications.

 

4.    Pricing & Payments

All prices displayed on the Website are in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) and are inclusive of all applicable Value-Added Tax (VAT), prices are subject to change at our sole discretion. The final price, including any shipping fees, will be calculated at checkout before you complete your purchase. We accept a variety of payment methods, including credit/debit cards and cash on delivery.

 

5.    Order Fulfillment & Delivery

We are committed to a delivery time of 3-5 business days in majority of areas and 5-7 business days in certain governorates and remote areas (Check the shipping & return policy) from the date of order confirmation, provided the products are in stock and unless we inform you otherwise by virtue of a notice. While we work with our logistics partner, to meet this commitment, we are not liable for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control. The risk of loss or damage to the products transfers to you upon full payment. You must inspect the package upon receipt and note any damage on the delivery receipt.

 

6.    Returns & Refunds

In compliance with the Egyptian Consumer Protection Law, you have the right to return products within 14 days of receipt without stating a reason, provided they are in their original condition and packaging. If a product is found to be defective or non-conforming as per the specifications mentioned in the Website and/or on the product packaging, you may return it for a refund or replacement within 30 days of receipt. For wires and cables, all returned items will undergo a rigorous inspection to verify their authenticity and condition before a refund is processed. Any product found to be counterfeit or tampered with will not be eligible for a refund. Upon approval of your return, we will process your refund within a reasonable period. The refund will be credited to your original payment method.

 

7.    Data Privacy & Security

8.    Payment Card Tokenization & Secure Payment Processing

 

To ensure the highest level of payment security, ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC utilizes tokenization technology provided by licensed acquiring banks and certified payment gateway service providers. By using a credit or debit card on the Website and by accepting these Terms and Conditions, you expressly acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following:

-       Tokenization of Card Data

Your payment card details are not stored by ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC in their original or readable form. Upon your authorization, the card details are securely converted into an encrypted payment token by the acquiring bank and/or the authorized payment gateway in accordance with international card scheme rules and PCI-DSS security standards.

-       Explicit Consent to Data Sharing

You expressly consent to the collection, processing, storage, and use of your payment card token solely for the purposes of payment processing, transaction authentication, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and enabling future authorized transactions, where applicable by:

1.     The acquiring bank

2.     The authorized payment gateway service provider

3.     Relevant international card networks and payment schemes

-       Authentication & Security Verification

Payment card registration and transactions may require additional security verification measures, including but not limited to One-Time Password (OTP) validation and 3D Secure authentication, to verify the identity of the cardholder and authorize the transaction.

-       Management, Update & Deletion of Tokens

ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC reserves the right to suspend, update, deactivate, or permanently delete any stored payment token:

1.     Upon request by the cardholder;

2.     Upon request by the issuing bank or payment service provider;

3.     In the event of chargebacks, disputes, suspected fraud, or security concerns; and

4.     Where required by applicable laws, regulations, or card scheme rules

9.    Customer Responsibility & Control

You remain responsible for ensuring that your payment card details are accurate and valid. Where technically available, you may request the removal of stored payment tokens through your user account or by contacting customer support.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of this Website or the products purchased through it. Our total liability for any claim arising from your purchase or use of our services is limited to the purchase price of the relevant product(s).

We shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or unauthorized transactions resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, provided that payment processing and tokenization services are performed through certified, compliant, and authorized third-party providers.

 

11. Marketing Consent

By creating an account or completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Data Privacy Policy. You explicitly consent to ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC S.A.E. collecting and processing your personal data for both order fulfillment and marketing purposes, in accordance with our policy and Egyptian Law. You further agree that we may contact you via email, SMS, or WhatsApp to provide updates on your orders and to share marketing communications, special offers, and product information. You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our marketing communications or by contacting our customer service team.

 

12.  Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be settled in accordance with the competent courts in Cairo.
